What are the responsibilities of the embedded tutor?
- Meet with faculty to discuss goals, expectations, and responsibilities
- Decide with faculty if tutor will attend every day the class meets, once a week, or during review sessions
- Support faculty as assigned in class discussions and activities
- Prepare and conduct regular review sessions at convenient times for students
- Promote review sessions and invite student to participate in individualized tutoring
- Communicate with instructor often and seek feedback on topics to be covered during group sessions
- Encourage students to complete surveys to provide feedback about service
- Maintain sign-in sheets for data collection
- Attend meetings and required training
