User Requirements:
In order to download e-books to read offline on a computer, e-reader, smartphone, or tablet, you will need to create the following two accounts:
Adobe ID: Used to authorize devices in Adobe Digital Editions and Bluefire Reader for Digital Rights Management.
My EBSCOhost Account: Used to download e-books from EBSCOhost. Select Sign In at the top-right of the EBSCOhost interface to create an account.
Software Requirements:
Depending on what kind of device you use, you will need to install one of the following free software applications to read downloaded e-books:
Reading on a computer (Mac or PC):
Adobe Digital Editions: Install on your computer. Free software used for Digital Rights Management.
Reading on a portable e-reader:
Adobe Digital Editions: Install on the computer you will use to transfer files to your e-reader. Free software used for Digital Rights Management and to transfer files from a computer to an e-reader.
Important information for Kindle users.
Reading on a smartphone or tablet:
Bluefire Reader App: Install on your smartphone or tablet. Free software used for Digital Rights Management.
