Resources and tools related to artificial intelligence (AI)

What Is Artificial Intelligence?

Artificial Intelligence - commonly referred to as AI - is technology that enables computers or machines to simulate human intelligence and problem-solving capabilities. AI is an umbrella term that includes Machine Learning (ML) and Deep Learning (DL), disciplines that allow machines to learn from huge amounts of data to identify patterns in images, texts, and other materials.

AI is now widely being used across all industries and aspects of our daily lives. Today, AI can be found in GPS systems, search engines, streaming services like Netflix or YouTube, social media feeds, self-driving vehicles, virtual assistants such as Cortana or Alexa, and much more.

What is Generative AI?

Generative AI is a type of artificial intelligence that can produce new content including images, text, audio, video, and code. Instead of relying on algorithms to locate or recommend existing sources, generative AI programs create new material based on the type of data it has studied. Some examples of popular generative AI tools include ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, DALL-E, and Synthesia.
