The Just Mercy author's personal and insightful discusses racial inequality in the criminal justice system. (24 minutes).

Ana DuVerney's 2016 documentary examining how slavery has been perpetuated through the criminalization and mass incarceration of African Americans, despite the 13th constitutional amendment, which abolished slavery in 1865. Bryan Stevenson is featured prominently. This film will be screened at DCCC on Thursday, April 12th from 9:35 a.m. to Noon. Discussion will follow, moderated by Professors Keeley Mitchell and Erica Hill Yates.
